1 in 3 Californian’s can’t afford their rent and housing costs. Many people are spending more than 30% of their income and some more than 50% of their income on housing. North Valley Housing Trust provides the necessary funding to housing developers that are addressing the needs of our most vulnerable community members.

North Valley Housing Trust was created as a promising solution to our housing crisis by providing a sustainable stream of funding focused directly on housing solutions. Instead of a single project investment, funds with NVHT are reinvested over and over in one of the most stable investment markets: affordable and workforce housing.

The Housing Trust decreases dependence on government funding for affordable housing, while allowing our community to maximize that funding when it is available. As community partners create the housing solutions needed most, we can provide loans at lower interest rates and with more flexibility than traditional underwriters to help make that housing happen.
